Well I just want to say Thank You Sir for taking the time to warn people about this site and so called business. I was about to spend a good bit of money on parts from them, for my vehicle, shocks, coils, thermostat, fuel filler neck, and found the parts to be damn near half the price of most places.

My first thought on this was, THIS IS AWESOME, cause you know saving money and all. So i placed my order, paid with my debit card, and sat back and waited. this was 3/24/21. The very next day i received and email from customer service asking me for the weirdest thing to ask for upon ordering, and this is the FIRST time i have ever had a business ask me for this, a picture of my DRIVERS LICENCE for address verification as they stated.

Now for me that right there is a big red flag. And some of you may think that im full of poo or something but yes they asked for this:Veronica March 25th 21 - 9:21am EST Your order is on hold: Action Required 1. We need a picture of your drivers license to verify your address. 2.

Please reply to this email and attach a copy of your Drivers License. 3. Once we receive this info we will release your order as soon as possible and you will be emailed conformation. Thank you Customer Service Team Parts Geek LLC So yeah i email them back and ask why in the world they need a picture of my drivers license, and that i did not feel comfortable even doing that.

Nor have ever heard of this practice. Let alone does it make any sense what so ever that i would order parts and not have them shipped to my address. So they replied back with:Irish March 25th 21 - 5:14pm EST Hello, This is your first time order. Due to high online fraud, the ID verification was requested matching the billing address.

You would have 1 of 3 choices in order to proceed. 1. Provide the ID matching the name and address for the billing, and we will ship to your requested shipping address. You may cover up your DL number and Birthdate to keep you protected, but it does need to show the face, name and address.

If the ID does not match the billing address, then we would need a gas, water or an electric bill in your name and the billing address. 2. Ship the parts to the BILLING address. 3.

Cancel the order. Unfortunately, those are the only options. Customer Service Parts Geek LLC So now more flags are going up in my head, so I started to looking in to this to see if anyone out there has had similar experience like this or if there is a policy in there policy that stated this as legit, and wouldnt you know i come accross the bbb site with a ton of bad reviews, then i find this site and see all the bad reviews. Now for me I dont make a whole lot of money so if I have to fix things on my car, I absolutely need to have parts that are 100% correct and working.

Seeing all these bad reviews just made my mind up on them and I canceled my order right away. Hopefully tommorow my money will be back in my account.

Btw I found all the parts that i ordered from them on amazon from better brand name parts makers like acdelco and that for the same price or even lower and have saved myself at least a good 20 bucks on probably better parts than the brands they carry. So again i just want to say thank you to all who have posted as well as this travis guy.

Shipped truck mirror, wrong one sent back, said was not the one they shipped kept my money and the parts also

Ordered driver side mirror from Parts Geek, the part would not work as the cord was too short, Sent the part back, customer service said it was not the part they shipped. Did not receive a refund or the part , so i lost my money and the wrong mirror.

User's recommendation: Don't buy from Parts Geek you will not get the part ordered and will not get a refund or the part they shipped to you.

Returning a part

Insufficient refund amount

I ordered the wrong part and needed to return the item. I asked for a return label, one was sent, and I shipped the original part back. My order was processed as a core return rather than wrong item, and I was told by customer service that my ticket was now considered closed. I paid $158.16 for the part and only received $65.00 for the core return. The returned was processed wrong. That is not my fault. I am still owed $93.16.

User's recommendation: Returning and getting a proper refund can be a hasslez.

Refund never received

Purchased a part through ebay that didn't fit, so contacted Parts Geek and received a return shipping label. According to Fed Ex, items received. Parts Geek says $125.02 refunded on July 16, 2021. Refund was never received and Parts Geek won't help because they said the purchase was made through their ebay division. Parts Geek ebay division seller won't respond to msg.

User's recommendation: Buyer beware. Parts Geek does not stand behind their refund policy and refused to assist me. Parts Geek says the can't help because purchase made through their ebay division. Parts Geek ebay division will not respond to messages. So, I'm out $125.02 because nobody at Parts Geek would help me.

Problem Solved after short delay

I received a part that was damaged during transport a little more than a week ago. After speaking to Parts Geek, they asked me to make another order, and a few days later I received a full refund for the damaged part I received. I did request expedited shipment for the part that was damaged, but they didn't have the option, so I was delayed another week for my repair.

User's recommendation: Check your parts when they arrive to ensure they aren't damaged in transport and contact customer service right away if they are.

Wrong part and don't want to return it

I ordered a trailer hitch when it came there was no box just a small piece of the bag they sent it in they sent me a FedEx return label they can't box it they won't accept it for shipping due to the size and weight they are now saying it is my problem I would need to cover the cost to return it, their listing was wrong for the part

I did not receive all the parts I ordered. No cap or sensor plug for expansion tank.

Sent me an expansion tank I did not order without all the parts that were supposed to come with it. Wanted me to pay to return it when it was their error. Charged me more for the tank cap and coolant level sensor which I had to have to use the tank they sent than the tank, cap and sensor would have cost had I ordered the kit they sent. I will never order from Parts Geek again. They suck !!!

I called and spoke to someone at your customer service named jester and he told me that it was my fault that the wrong parts were sent to me because I'm assuming he thinks that because I'm a female I didn't know what I was ordering but my husband and my dad are both mechanics and my email says thank you for your order two front axles two rear axles rear axles is what I ordered and I was sent for front axles so jester needs to lose his job for being a sexist piece of garbage because I TRIED to explain to him, maybe the website says rear axles even though they are not rear axles?

I ordered two front axles and two rear axles you guys sent me four front axles. I called your customer service and they were very rude very unsympathetic told me that I ordered the wrong parts when I'm looking at the email that clearly says I ordered rear axles not front axles so you guys are telling me that this is my fault when you guys are the ones that messed up my order I will never be ordering anything from you again and I will bully be leaving a bad review every and anywhere that I can because your company is a *** joke.

You sent me the wrong part

Very rude. Unhelpful. Said it wasnt their problem. Told us they wouldnt do anything. Then raised their voice on the phone and wouldnt let me speak to management.
