I had a need for fast turn around as did many people and went to parts geek because of "east coast base and distribution" HA HA! I was told all my parts were in stock at warehouse B NY. I bought a re-manufactured starter from them and paid core charge. Installed the part and the next day it began with the turn, binding sound, then spin to start vehicle. That is reason for the replacement of starter, I did not want my wife out with the vehicle and it (starter) have the issue and her stranded. I'm 60 years old and this company has the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. We bought a medium sized item that weighed 11 lbs, but they had it coded as oversized and charged $125 to ship it via truck, (even though it arrived regular UPS) They are non-responsive at best, uncooperative and deceptive at worst. Purchased a brake booster for my volvo and it arrived broken. There is no phone number to call and the claim process is confusing and ineffective. I doubt that I will get my $230.00 back. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM PARTS GEEK!!! it's just an online scam.

Buyer be aware.... It took me dozen plus emails, days, and dozens of calls to get someone on the other line. Customer service line puts me on music hold for few minutes than disconnects. This went on for multiple calls on a day and for sevral days. When I finally did got some one on the other side, reasoning doesn't work with them. Ordered a window regulator. They sent the wrong one. Returned the part following their instructions (including their very imprtant RMA number), per UPS tracking they received part. I waited the advised, and by the way excessive, recommended time as posted on their website and as posted with the return information they sent me. I orderd spark plugs for my Audi A6 i specified the make model and engine 3 times and asked if he was SURE these were the correct plugs. Car started running bad with engine light on after investiagtion by certified Audi dealer mech. he saud i put in wrong plugs and had to spend $244 to fix and replace plugs. Absolutely god awful! I will never deal with them again! I ordered a catalytic converter that simply would not fit correctly, unbelievable fiasco getting it into position thinking I could make it fit somehow. Maybe 5-6 attempts I finally had to cut up the new one and weld it to the old one, thankfully the welded up one fit perfectly, finished up a two hour job ten hours later at three AM. What a garbage company, How hard is it to check parts... Read more
